7 Layer Bars

Welcome back, friends! I took a small break from blogging to focus on my blanket business, but we are back! I have such a fun, easy, recipe to share with you. "7 Layer Bars" are the best "spring" dessert I have made in a long time! Here's what you need:


1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
9 whole graham crackers crushed (about 1½ cups crumbs)
1 cup chopped almonds
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut(toasted)
14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk


    Preheat your oven to 350F and then lightly butter the sides and bottom in a 9x13 baking dish.
    Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter butter in a medium size bowl and use a fork to stir until well-combined.  Pour into the bottom of your prepared pan and use the clean bottom of a measuring cup to tamp into the bottom of pan
    Pour chocolate chips, then butterscotch chips, then chopped nuts, evenly over the graham cracker crust layer.
    Drizzle ingredients in pan evenly with sweetened condensed milk.  
    Evenly sprinkle coconut over the condensed milk.  
    Transfer to oven and bake 350F for 25 minutes or until coconut is turning lightly golden brown.
    Allow bars to cool several hours before cutting
